On 8 May, The Good Idea and the young athletes of Ostiamare headed down to the beach in Ostia for a day of clean-up and environmental awareness, in collaboration with Ostia Clean-Up. The result? Forty kilograms of waste collected and removed from the Spiaggia Libera Blu on Lungomare Lutazio Catulo.
The initiative stems from the belief that doing business well also means taking care of the place where you live and work. The Good Idea and Ostiamare chose Ostia – its sea, its beach, its community – as the starting point for something concrete: not a campaign, not a slogan, but an afternoon with sleeves rolled up to give something back to the place we call home.
Around 15 members of The Good Idea team joined the under 12-13 squad of Ostiamare, accompanied by their coaches and parents, along with everyone else who chose to take part. A collective afternoon of hard work, closing with a workshop, a final weigh-in of the bags, and a moment of celebration together.
Forty kilograms of waste gone from the beach. A first step – but a real one.
