The Good Idea Takes Action to Clean Up Milan’s Navigli

An afternoon dedicated to the environment, teamwork, and taking care of our city. On October 7, The Good Idea milan team joined We Are Urban MIlano and Associazione Nazionale Marinai d’Italia Milano for a cleanup initiative along Milan’s Darsena and Naviglio Grande.

Equipped with gloves, litter pickers, and bags, participants collected waste along the canal banks and helped clean the waterways aboard the Pellicano Urbano, an electric catamaran designed to remove waste from the water and canal beds. The initiative delivered tangible results: approximately 3,000 cigarette butts collected, nearly 14 kg of metal waste removed from the canal beds, and an estimated 6 kg of mixed waste collected along the banks.

As a Benefit Corporation and B Corp, The Good Idea believes in turning its commitment to sustainability into meaningful action, actively engaging people and contributing to the well-being of local communities.

An afternoon of teamwork and shared commitment that reminded us how protecting the environment also means taking care of the places we live in every day.
