The initiative is developed in collaboration with Fondazione Prameya, with the aim of funding the mangrove planting in Sagar Island, for a total of 200,000 new trees.
The planting site is located on Sagar Island and is managed by the local community. In particular, a group of women plays a key role in the project. They are actively involved in the full lifecycle management of the mangrove ecosystem.
The project aims to restore 10 hectares of degraded land through the planting of 200,000 mangrove trees. The area has suffered environmental degradation and now requires reforestation. The goal is to increase biodiversity, strengthen coastal resilience against erosion, and create long-term benefits for local families.
Fondazione Prameya leads the initiative together with local partners.
The commitment of The Good Idea to reforestation and to the empowerment of the local women’s community begins this Christmas. The company has chosen to gift mangrove trees to its clients, directly funding the first phase of the project for a total of 4,500 mangroves planted.
This marks an important first step toward the broader goal of 200,000 mangrove trees planted in Sagar Island. The project supports long-term ecological restoration and strengthens local community development.
